Declaration of Candidacy must be received by Election Committee no later than 5:00 pm, December 7th, 2011

IN PERSON VOTING:
Polls will be open from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm, Saturday, December 17, 2011
Native Village of Eyak, Ilanka Building Board Room, 2nd Floor (Elevator available)
ABSENTEE VOTING:
All qualified Native Village of Eyak voters may vote absentee ballots. In order to vote absentee you may apply for a ballot in person or by mail.
To apply in person:
Ballot applications will be accepted no more than 30 days before the election and no later than 1 day before the election. (This year: not before Nov 18th and no later than Dec 16th). Ballot applications are available at the Native Village of Eyak office.
To apply by mail:
Complete enclosed application and mail to: Native Village of Eyak, Election Committee, PO Box 1388, Cordova, AK 99574. Ballot applications may be postmarked no more than 30 days before the election and no later than 7 days before the election. (This year: not before Nov 18th and no later than Dec 10th). The election board shall mail an absentee ballot on the same day as the request is received. (This year: not before December 8, 2011)
INSTRUCTIONS FOR MAILING IN AN ABSENTEE BALLOT:
Complete the ballot by marking with an “X” the appropriate boxes for the three (3) candidates you wish to vote for- no write in candidates will be accepted. Put the ballot in a plain and unmarked envelope and then seal it. Do not write anything on that envelope. Put the envelope into a larger envelope with your name and address clearly labeled. Stamp and mail the envelope. Make sure that it is postmarked no later than Election Day. (This year: Dec 17th).
