Tatitlek Cultural Heritage Week

Native Village of Eyak was invited to participate in the annual cultural heritage week held in the traditional Native Village of Tatitlek.
Eyak youth were given the opportunity to learn traditional food processing and crafting.
They processed traditional foods such as fish, bear and porpoise.
They made crafts such as spruce root baskets, small fur bags and soapstone masks.
Cultural heritage week is a fun way to keep our culture alive.
