Eligibility

Persons of Alaska Native heritage who reside within Native Village of Eyak boundaries
At least 6 months out of every two years AND maintain a residence within these boundaries, are eligible to apply for membership with Native Village of Eyak.

Each applicant must reside within Native Village of Eyak boundaries at least 6 months prior to applying for membership in order to be eligible.

These are general rules of eligibility, for special cases such as out of area membership for persons who are in the military, post-secondary schools or lineal descendents who are under 18, please contact erin@eyak-nsn.gov for more information.

Native Village of Eyak enrollment office strongly encourages all new residents within Native Village of Eyak boundaries to register and apply for enrollment with the tribal enrollment clerk as soon as possible in order to ensure eligibility for services.

In order to consider applications for enrollment, Native Village of Eyak
Requires
            Certificate of Indian Blood issued by the Bureau of Indian Affairs
            Enrollment application
Helpful Documents that may assist in determining eligibility
            Birth certificate
            Marriage certificate
            Adoption/foster paperwork
            Social security cards
            Alaska Native Corporation cards
           
Upon receipt of completed documents, the enrollment committee will make a recommendation to Native Village of Eyak Traditional Council who will make the final determination of tribal member status.
